Premium Alfalfa Cubes are formed by coarsely grinding forage and forcing the forage and a small amount of bentonite (natural clay) for cube integrity through a large dye with heat and steam. Cubes are a convenient feed option and can contribute to the overall digestive health of your animal. Soaking alfalfa cubes before feeding can increase hydration and allow horses with dental issues to get the nutrition they need to maintain a healthy weight. Alfalfa forage is low in sugar, moderately high in protein, high in calories and digestible fiber. Available in 40-pound bags. Recommended For Horses, Cattle, and Bison.

Feeding Guide:
Recommends that pelleted and cubed forage not be the sole source of forage for horses since feeding some long-stem forage (hay) may help eliminate boredom and prevent stall vices. Feed at a rate of 2.0% of body weight per day. Gradually replace existing hay with over a 7-10 day period. For horses that have dental problems or for horses that aggressively consume their feed, is recommended to be fed wet, soaked in water (2 parts water to 1 part pellet or cube) for 30 minutes or until properly softened. Never feed moldy or insect infested forage to horses.
