Banamine is a brand of flunixin meglumine. This medication rapidly reduces fever and inflammation. For use in beef and dairy cattle to help control pyrexia associated with bovine respiratory disease, endotoxemia and acute bovine mastitis. In horses this drug is indicated to help with the reduction of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal and colic. Flunixin Meglumine. Indicated for the control of pyrexia associated with bovine respiratory disease and endotoxemia and acute bovine mastitis and for control of inflammation in endotoxemia. For the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with colic and musculoskeletal disorders in horses.
For Horses:
Give intravenously or intramuscularly at a dose rate of 1 ml/100 lbs of body weight. Give once a day, but no longer than 5 days.
Cattle:
Give intravenously only, slow administer at a dose rate of 1 to 2 ml per 100 lbs of body weight every 12 hours, for 3 days if necessary. For treating acute mastitis administer at a dose rate of 2 ml per 100 lbs of body weight.
- Available in 100 and 250 ml.
- Do not use in dry dairy cows and veal calves.

- When given IV in horses helps relieve pain in 15 minutes.
