Calf Mixing Directions Sprinkle 10.5 oz. milk replacer powder on top of 2 quarts warm water (115-120 F) and stir with a whisk until completely dissolved. Cool the milk replacer solution to body temperature before feeding. Refrigerate extra milk replacer solution promptly and use within 24 hours. Rewarm cold milk replacer gently in the feeding bottle by floating it in a pan of warm water. Mix thoroughly and test the temperature before feeding.
Lamb Mixing Directions Sprinkle 1.75 oz. milk replacer powder on top of 1 cup warm water (115-120 F) and stir with a whisk until completely dissolved. Offer elk calves about twice as much milk replacer as fawns, adjusting for body weight.
Calf Feeding Directions
- First 24 Hours: FEED ONLY COLOSTRUM. NO MILK REPLACER. Feed 4 quarts of maternal colostrum or an equivalent dose of colostrum replacer. Adjust volume for small breed calves.
- Day 2 Until Weaning: Feed 1.5 to 3 quarts milk replacer solution twice daily, adjusting for body weight. Offer calf starter feed and fresh water free choice. Do not offer hay until after weaning. Wean from milk replacer at 6-12 weeks of age, when the calf is healthy and dry starter feed intake is at least 2-4 pounds per day.

Ultra 24™ Milk Replacer contains added copper. Is it safe to feed to lambs? Yes. Sheep and lambs actually require a small amount of copper, but they are highly sensitive to excess amounts. Ultra 24 has been formulated to provide needed copper without causing toxicity when fed according to mixing and feeding directions.
Goat Feeding Directions
- First 24 Hours: FEED ONLY COLOSTRUM. NO MILK REPLACER. If feeding colostrum replacer to a standard kid, offer 7 fluid ounces of solution per 4 pounds of bodyweight every 4-6 hours.
- Day 2-10: For standard kids, offer 4-8 fluid ounces every 6 hours for four daily feedings. For pygmy kids, offer 4 fluid ounces four to five times daily.
- Day 11 Until Weaning: For standard kids, offer 8-16 fluid ounces every 6-8 hours for three to four daily feedings. For pygmy kids, offer 4-8 fluid ounces three to four times daily.
